As it seems there seems to be a failure in the support email towards Powtoon. However, the support staff manning the Facebook was thoughtful and assisted me with my refund.

Software works. Scam exists because you cannot unsubscribe as per the advertisement. I had to cancel my credit card to get this tar baby off my back.
